The Political Correctness Turd

I saw a University student's comment today which pretty well sums up the whole Political Correctness stupidity.

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Consider the absolute nonsense that abounded when Rush Limbaugh expressed an honest opinion about Donavan McNab a black NFL quarterback. It wasn’t a racist statement and it wasn’t directed at any other group than the mainstream media pundits. Yet because it was considered PunC he was drummed off the TV network. Time and time again people that dare to speak the truth are accused of racism and spreading anger across the airwaves. This is absolute hogwash but what has happened is that the people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have made a career out of exploiting innocent words from famous people and denigrating them particularly if they are of a different political persuasion. In Canada they almost banned a book written by Mark Steyn that provided only facts and numbers related to the growth of the Islamic immigration in Europe. It provided no false data but somehow was deemed as hate speech and referred to the Human Rights Commission because it may offend some people. Free speech won out but not because the Liberal brain-trust at the Cmmission felt persuaded by logic no, they dropped the application because they felt they had no standing to hear it. However, included in their decision was a damning condemnation of the book, calling it a hate mongering piece of literature or words of that nature. All because of political correctness and the “delusional illogical minority” pointed out above. What in the world are we, as a free society doing by allowing these well intentioned but idiotic fools to instill fear in everyone who simply wants to express an opinion? Mind you if you are a liberal or of a minority the chances are low that any misspeak that you may make will find its way onto the mainstream media smear machine airwaves. On the other hand if you are a conservative PC advocates will even go so far as to make up statements that were supposed to be direct quotes from your mouth to ruthlessly attack you. The evidence is overwhelming that these tactics are used daily by the Liberals as a successful weapon against their opponents. Even when they are proven to be lying it is usually too late to undo the damage wrought by these unethical goons. I hope Limbaugh sues the folks that upset his legal and righteous application to become an owner in the NFL and if the law is not biased he should hammer them. This type of response is the only thing that will push them back into their holes.
