Jack Layton...Pompous Ass

I was listening to the news this morning and lo and behold a clip from Jack Layton flowed over the airwaves. Layton says “Stephen Harper and the Conservatives have an opportunity to change direction and compromise with us to move the country forward”. Excuse me, Mr. Layton you and your NDP party only received 18% of the vote and you only have 37 seats in Parliament so why would it not be you who has to compromise? The Country voted overwhelmingly for other politicians than you and your motley crew. But this doesn’t matter to this arrogant fool who demands that the PM acquiesce to his demands regardless of what the majority of Canadians want. This is typical for a guy who can do nothing better than endlessly criticize without ever achieving anything productive in parliament. Constant threats to bring down the government if they don’t follow his rigid set of beliefs has been his monotonous battle cry. He is like the bully in the schoolyard except he doesn’t have the size or muscle to follow through on any of his idiotic threats. Is it because he has no new ideas beyond the old socialist rhetoric that has historically never garnered more than 18% to 20% of the national vote? I believe there has to be a check and balance on any government but common sense and a realization of the people’s will (election) are valuable commodities in politicians that understand the work of the governing must go forward. He has got to be one of the worst leaders of any political party and yes I am including Dion. Jack Layton is a thug who is able to speak reasonably well. Unfortunately he never has anything of value to say.
As anyone who has read this blog over the past several months you would recognize that I don’t usually wage personal attacks on individuals. However I decided to try out the infamous Liberal tactic to see how it works and I must say it is very easy to do. I don’t have to deal with facts and logic I can just vent and speak generally without offering any specifics. I must say it certainly is easier and quicker than researching facts and developing prose to articulate a point. The only problem however is that after reading it I find that I’ve really said nothing of substance and it is difficult to determine if anything I’ve written is of value to anyone that can think for themselves. Probably not so I’ll just revert back to honest, truthful and factual statements and leave the muckraking to Jack and the boys.
