Beware of Messiahs

Once upon a time came a great Messiah who promised “hope & change' for all in America. He had very little experience in Government and almost none in leading any large organization or even a small State (like Alaska)but he could speak eloquently. Wait a minute, the Liberals said, “he professes to be a Christian”! Yes that’s true but he is an angry Black Christian that sees the USA as the great evil in the world so this gives him a pass. If you have a problem with this just listen to his Pastor Jeremiah Wright and I’m sure you will agree that Barry is OK. The Messiah preached during the campaign that he was fiscally conservative and believed in the Capitalist System. But alas, he tripled the debt of the nation in three short months by pouring trillions of stimulus dollars into the economy. Maybe this is good we thought, but no most of the dollars once again went to satisfy the pork barrel needs of various senators and congressmen. Most of these dollars won’t create jobs and if they ever do it won’t be for 2 or 3 years from now. Oh well what about his promise to kick start the economy? Well this took shape as a purchase of the auto sector and bailouts for the banking industry. Now as an owner of a piece of these industries he creates czars to watch over them and they have the power to dictate policy and in particular to set the wage scales of the people working in these businesses. Let’s see now, government owning businesses and dictating wages, hmmmm what does that sound like? Oh well he said he would change the way things are done in Washington and look to bring on ethical people. Wait a minute didn’t 5 of his appointees have to step aside because of poor ethical behavior in their recent past? Well then maybe he will end this spying on the American people. GW Bush wanted warrant less wiretaps to catch terrorists and keep the nation safe but the Democrats still thought this was an intrusion on civil liberties. Wait, didn’t the White House just ask anyone who felt that if they come in contact with anyone putting up arguments against the new Health Care Bill to forward these peoples names and email addresses directly to them. They call it the snitch program. Tell on your neighbor and we will fix them. Hmmmm can we look to restraint as a positive aspect to this administration? What do you mean they just ordered 10 new private jets for the Congress? Didn’t they berate the Big 3 auto makers about using private jets during this difficult economic time??? At least they are with us, the little people and not the Corporations. What do you mean the Health Bill excludes Congress from the Plan? Although citizens will lose the right to choose their plan Congress is keeping their lucrative benefit package. Well at least the unemployment rate didn’t rise as fast as it has over the past several months, isn’t that good news even if it is approaching double digits? At least they are trying to be bi-partisan and civilized in Congress. Oh oh you say Nancy Pelosi called conservatives at the Town Hall meetings “Nazis” and said they carried swastikas. Hmmm how about you ask yourself a question..”How’s that hope and change working?”
